Words cannot describe this 12K race through San Francisco. This past weekend marked the 96th annual footrace that has been run over the same course through the city streets, making it the longest consecutively-run race in the world. An estimated 60,000 participants started at the Embarcadero (Bay) and ended up at Ocean Beach (the Breakers).
Some were motivated to run fast, while others were motivated to drink beer in imaginative ways. I am already working on my costume for next year! (5/20/07)
