Bingolotto Morden

Below is the intro to my brothers upcoming new feature-length film, due for release in late 2008. The Bingo Lotto Murders is a Swedish film produced by DKNS. It will be available with English subtitles for North American release in 2009.

The new Dr. Evil?????

Remember the Alamo.....

My driver, Antonio.
I know, I couldn't believe it either. They actually spelled my name correctly.

So I am off to San Antonio Texas for a fun-filled week where phrases like 'out of the box' and 'value-added' will be used on a painfully regular basis. I am sure I will make the best of it, since I have my boots polished and a pair of chaps ready to go. The stars at night are big and bright....deep in the heart of Texas!

Birthday greetings going out to one of my favorite gal pals Nickie! It seems like only yesterday we were sitting on Santa's lap, and now you have a husband, 2 kiddos, and a Masters degree. Where does the time go? Best wishes for 36! Cheers!

Return of The Shuffle Scuffle

It is that time of year again....the time where there is a lull between Bocce Ball seasons which means it is time for the 2nd Annual Great American Shuffle Scuffle!  Double Hangars are back with a vengance and we eat Potted Meat for breakfast!  SWA...you better watch your backs too!  See you suckas at the table tonight!

It's a Mac, Mac, Mac, Macworld

Original 1st generation iPod complete with 'scroll wheel' next to 1st generation Nano

It's Macworld this week in San Francisco, and oddly enough, I recently came across my original iPod.  The feeling was as nostalgic as if I would have found the Atari 2600 in the closet.  You've gotta love technology.

On The Road

Peter is in Detroit this week taking care of some business and then is going to get a sneak peek of the phat rides of 2008 at the Auto Show.  Be sure to check out the new Lamborghini Gallardo in chocolate brown (insert cheesy Akon tune here....that's for you Stefan!) and don't forget to pick yourself up a Detroit Tigers hat!  Enjoy the show, and no, you cannot bring home an Aston Martin.  We just don't have room in the garage.

A distant friend of Big Blue

My ride in Big Blue yesterday was making me feel a little nostalgic for summers spent on the Arkansas River as a raft guide camped out in a VW bus. This pic is from when I was traveling through Grand Teton National Park in the summer of 1991.

Sunday Sunset

It was time for my first ride in Big Blue (finally!) We took a ride over to Rodeo Beach to watch the sunset which we have threatened to make a weekly tradition on Sundays, but it just has not happened. It didn't quite seem right without EP there as I embarked upon my personal maiden voyage, but I think she will be okay with it since she is busy touring French wine country! Beautiful sunset, good beer, and fantastic company. What a great way to end the week.
Until next time....

T. enjoyed the ride

Playoffs Baby!

Chicago style dog with Ruffles and SBPS.  Mmmmmm!

So this weekend was quite enjoyable.....very relaxing, no power outages, and lots of good football! A moment of silence for Peyton Manning and the Colts, please! Devastating! The only thing that makes up for their loss is the win of the fabulous NY Giants who took out Dallas! It was like Christmas morning all over again, although it is never pretty to see a grown man cry in a press conference. Get it together T.O.! Not to mention the fantastic win by Brett Farve and the Packers. Our pal Brett, who is the world's self professed number one Farve fan came over to enjoy the game with a few beers and some dogs. I can't wait until next weekend!

The fixins

Brett Farve and Tom Brady proud of how fast they ate their dogs.

Note:  Partner in crime EP is not pictured since she is gallivanting around French wine country.

Real Men Wear Beards?

Not much is happening here in the City by the Bay. We are back to work and in the full swing of things once again, but I am afraid my vacation head still remains a bit cloudy. Clearly, P. has been easing himself back into the work week as well, since I thought I woke up next to Grizzly Adams the other day. At first, I thought he was supporting the writer's strike, or perhaps channeling his inner Chuck Norris, but alas, he just didn't feel like shaving. When I was a kid I bet my Dad $100 bucks that I would never marry a man that had a beard. Peter's still looks a little spotty, so I don't really think it counts. Also to note, although our hygiene remains questionable, (as I type this at 2 pm, I have not yet showered) we have had a home cooked meal everyday this week. There has been freezing, defrosting, and then refreezing involved and it has been deelish! Operation frozen food 2008 has been officially kicked off with a bang!

How Many 5 Year Olds Could You Take In A Fight?

So, our friend Ryan has a daughter named Fiona, who is officially a toddler, and he has discovered she can be a bit of a handful.  He has also determined, that if provoked, he could take on 26 toddlers successfully.  Peter took the survey, and it seems he could hold his own against 31.  Results are based on physical prowess, training, swarm-combatting experience, and the flexibility of your moral compass.  I don't know if I should be proud, or afraid.  You decide.....

The Perfect Storm

P. fully decked out in his wet weather gear, and quite happy he was able to get the gate open.

Well we made it home from Sweden just in time to arrive for the storm that hit the Bay Area.  It was pretty wild and knocked out power in most of the area and even shut down the Richmond Bridge and parts of Hwy 101 in Marin.  At one point, winds exceeded 70 mph on the Golden Gate Bridge.  Since we had only been home for 2 days, of course there was no food in the house, so we had to venture out for breakfast and then try to get some rations.  Here are a few pics, with video footage to follow.

7 Eleven saves us again.

EP ready to play some cards by candlelight.

P. still decked out in his gear making cocktails....just in case.

The Journey Home...

So, as sad as it is, today we begin the journey home.  We are sitting at the airport now and our first flight to Munich is slightly delayed.  Hopefully we will make our connection and be home later tonight.  We had such a fantastic time and it was so wonderful to be able to spend time with family.  Thank you to everyone for the gifts, the hospitality, and for making our Christmas so great!  We miss you already!

Until next time....

Gott Nytt År!

P and T looking forward to freezing more food in 2008.

Happy New Year! To ring in 2008, we went over to Magnus and Johanna's for a par-tay. Good people, good food and good times! (ask Magnus about his bacon wrapped dates!) Not to mention there was some wicked guitar playing going on. Yes, virtual guitar playing via Guitar Hero, not sitting around the campfire singing John Denver songs, guitar playing. Mattias, you are my Guitar Hero!

The boys

Magnus and T. (they think they are high paid fashion models)

The real Guitar Hero

Then, we went for a walk across town to have a glass of champagne with Papa Kaj and Anneke. (Note to self: 3" heels and cobblestone streets - not a good combination!) The walk was quite refreshing, and we could see plenty of fireworks. They actually sell fireworks here in the grocery stores!

P. enjoying the fresh air during the walk.

It is tradition in Sweden to bring in the New Year by listening to a reading of Nyårsklockan, which is Lord Tennyson's poem no. 106 translated into Swedish. Ring klocka, Ring!

The Dick Clark of Sweden.

We made it home. This is for you, Hollywood!
